About Me

Welcome to Derezzed Gamer

I'm Derezzed and I can be your guide through the digital realm of the gaming afterlife. Like many of you, I navigate my space in the Grid among Users and Programs.

A Little About My Journey

As a lifelong gamer since the seventies, I cherished the days of gaming magazines and demo discs. However, modern gaming articles, often overshadowed by political discourse, left me disheartened. Struggling to find unbiased, exciting gaming news, I decided to create my own space. Here, I write the kind of blogs and articles I wish to read—geared towards fellow older programs, yet welcoming for younger enthusiasts too.

What You'll Find Here

On Derezzed Gamer, expect a vast array of articles on games old and new, celebrating the essence of gaming.

Not on this blog:

  • Stories about developer crunch times or working conditions.

  • Discussions on games' inclusiveness, diversity, or representation.

  • Political discourse or game developer personal histories.

We focus solely on the joy of gaming and life in the Grid, leaving politics at the door.

Why I Blog

I believe many older gamers, whether repurposed, derezzed or still fighting the good fight, miss the days when gaming was an escape, much like a good book for a bookworm. My goal is to spark curiosity, evoke nostalgia, provoke thought, and entertain. This space is for anyone who still finds joy in gaming, free from judgment, external opinions and modern political discourse.

Connect with the Grid

If you resonate with this sentiment, I encourage you to reconnect with the Grid. Engage with other users and programs, and remember—the 'End of Line' for old gaming days doesn't mean it's game over.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you find something here that speaks to you.

Warm regards,

Derrezzed
